Poster and Brochure Design of Film Festival
A design concept inspired by an annual Athens short film festival called Psarokokalo. This year's festival “took” place on an aegean's sea island called Antiparos. The main idea of the design process, was the place of this island on the map. By using the outlines of Cyclades islands map, I emphasize the central position of Antiparos island on the complex of Cyclades. The general idea was to point the festival’s place, not by using its name but using its true position. A curious passenger may wonder which island is this, he/she would stand in front of the poster and read the rest.
This is the map of greece. With reds is the group of island, Cyclades.
Here it is the map of Cyclades, with their greek names. Antiparos is on the center called Αντίπαρος, in greek language
Generally, I wanted to show the lines-marks of a map and to take advantage of them with a different way. Also, I tried use the 2D map with a 3D way by making an "round" illusion.
